Virginia Senate voting to allow state health care plans to cover abortion.
Yesterday a Virginia Senate Committee voted to remove rules preventing abortion coverage. SB1276 removes protective pro-life language from the law regarding health care exchanges.
The removal of the prohibition means that, if this becomes law, Virginia taxpayers will soon be paying for plans that cover elective abortions and may not be able to find a plan that doesn’t. It is the first step to forcing Virginians to pay for all abortions.
