Confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett
to the Supreme Court

The nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is a worthy selection on the part of President Trump.  Judge Barrett has proven herself to be a rational judge and has demonstrated a commitment to defending the text and history of the Constitution and the principles of judicial restraint.

VSHL President Olivia Gans Turner observed that there is little doubt that, at this moment in history, the battle at the Court is about abortion.

It is important that you contact both Senators Warner and Senator Kaine to urge them to support this nomination.  Sadly, they both voted against confirmation of Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh.

Virginia Society for Human Life applauds President Trump’s
nominee to join the U.S. Supreme Court

The nomination today of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is a worthy selection on the part of President Trump. Judge Barrett has proven herself to be a rational judge and has demonstrated a commitment to defending the text and history of the Constitution and the principles of judicial restraint.

VSHL President Olivia Gans Turner observed that there is little doubt that, at this moment in history, the battle at the Court is about abortion.

“Make no mistake– this confirmation battle is over abortion because the Democratic Party and pro-abortion Democratic senators will oppose any nominee, no matter how qualified, if the nominee has not pledged to uphold and maintain abortion on demand. Presidential candidate Joe Biden has repeatedly stated his commitment to oppose any judge who might decide that Roe is very bad law and will use that as a litmus test. Roe v. Wade has led to the deaths of millions of unborn children as well as harming untold numbers of women.” -Olivia Gans Turner

VSHL hopes that there will be no partisan delays in the confirmation process in the U.S. Senate.
