The Alex and Geline Williams Oratory Contest

The annual Alex and Geline B. Williams Oratory Contest, sponsored by the Virginia Society for Human Life Educational Fund, encourages high school juniors and seniors to prepare and present a short speech on one of these topics: abortion, infanticide or euthanasia.

The 2025 contest will be held at Life Church, 8378 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23116 on Saturday, May 10, 2025

The contest is open to high school juniors and seniors in the 11th and 12th grades as of February 1, 2025. Contestants must be Virginia residents or full-time students of Virginia schools (public or private) or Virginia homeschool students. The first-place winner will attend and compete in the Jane B. Thompson Oratory Contest held at the National Right to Life Conference.

First, second, and third place winners will receive:

1st Place: $500

2nd Place: $250

3rd Place: $100

To enter the contest:

Download and complete both the entry form and photo release form, include a typed copy of your speech, and return all of the materials to the contest coordinator listed at the bottom of the entry form.
