Whereas,
Senators Kaine (D-VA) and Warner (D-VA) oppose the Born-Alive Abortion
Survivors Protection Act in the United States Senate; and
Whereas, Governor Northam (D-VA) appeared on a
radio program and, when defending Delegate Tran’s (D-42) Bill, HB 2491, to
eliminate all meaningful restrictions on abortions up to birth, endorsed
doctors letting babies die without care after they have been born; and
Whereas, there is substantial support among
pro-abortion members of the Virginia General Assembly for Delegate Tran’s bill,
HB 2491, and Sen. McClellan’s (D-9) bill, SB 1541, the Senate companion bill to
eliminate all meaningful restrictions on abortion throughout pregnancy up to
birth, and
Whereas, New York, Vermont, and other states have
recently passed laws to eliminate all restrictions on abortion up to birth; and
Whereas, pro-abortion activists want to pass the
so-called ERA in order to use judges to mandate New York style abortion on
demand with taxpayer funding in all 50 states;
Therefore, be it resolved, that we the undersigned:
- Oppose Infanticide; and
- Support the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act; and
- Support the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act; and
- Support the Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act;
- Oppose the Pro-abortion Equal Rights Amendment
Therefore, be it further resolved, that we the pro-life voters of Virginia INSIST all
elected officials in Federal, State, and Local office vote FOR laws that STOP
infanticide and abortion.
