Dear Pro-life friends,
This is it! Virginia’s critical statewide elections are just two weeks away!
There is no doubt that what happens on November 5th will set the stage for what the pro-life movement will be able accomplish over the next four years! Pro-abortion forces know it too and are pulling out all the stops to make sure that pro-life candidates don’t win!
Every pro-life vote will count. We must do all that we can to make sure that our family and friends vote this fall. You can help us spread the word. Together we can see to it that the pro-abortion forces wake up totally disappointed on the day after the elections.
Virginia Society for Human Life Political Action Committee has endorsed Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli for Governor, E.W. Jackson for Lieutenant Governor, and Senator Mark Obenshain for Attorney General. Each of these men has a strong record, either in the Virginia General Assembly, as Attorney General, or in his community, of standing up consistently for the defenseless unborn. Pro-lifers know that they can count on each of them to do the utmost to protect innocent human life!
The races for Virginia Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General are critical to any future efforts over the next four years towards passing any serious pro-life legislation! All three of the Democratic candidates at the top of the ticket for statewide office are endorsed by NARAL and Planned Parenthood of Virginia, the leading advocates and purveyors of abortion in Virginia and the nation.
Senator Ralph Northam, running for Lieutenant Governor, and Senator Mark Herring, running for Attorney General, have completely pro-abortion voting records in the General Assembly. Both have opposed every reasonable and protective pro-life measure to come before them, including the important new Ultrasound Law and the Abortion Clinic Regulations that will protect women from dangerous, unchecked abortionists!
If elected Governor, Terry McAuliffe has vowed to become a “brick wall” against any effort to pass laws that could protect unborn babies after the point in pregnancy at when they can feel pain! He’s made threats to throw out the new abortion facility regulations that are viewed as totally sensible by so many Virginians!
He does not represent us!
We must also re-elect a strong pro-life majority in the House of Delegates. We are fortunate in Virginia to have a strong pro-life majority in the House of Delegates. It’s vitally important that we hold that line this November! The complete list of VSHLPAC endorsed candidates can be found at http://vshlpac.org/house-of-delegates.html
There is still time to help VSHLPAC get this job done! Remember, every vote will count this year.
On to victory for Life!
Olivia Gans Turner, President
P.S. Some have inquired about the independent candidate running for Governor, Mr. Robert Sarvis. Mr. Sarvis did not respond to our attempts to discover his views on current pro-life legislation. He has, however, on his website made it clear he opposes any & all pro-life legislation which would include the ban on partial birth abortions and the simple abortion clinic regulations recently enacted by Virginia.
